A comment on your ‘handshake’ discussion. Latinos everywhere do this, not just El Salvador. You ‘lived’ w/ these folks, they embraced you as a friend. Make it a practice to greet every Latino male with a firm handshake AND at every departure/end of day. Latnino women and, Latino men and women who are friends, greet each other and, depart from one another, with a hug and a light kiss on the cheek.
